Comprehensive Political education conducted in Surigao de Norte
Master Trainors of the Centrist Democracy Political Institute (CDPI) set foot in the areas of Surigao del Norte to conduct consecutive Centrist Democracy Lecture Series (CDLS).
Held in the 8th, 10th, and 11th of May 2015, the aforementioned areas include Dapa, Atuyay Socorro, Gen. Luna and Alegria. Attendees were mostly composed of sectoral leaders, local government unit employees and department heads.
The program shared an input on the context of Philippne Politics and Party System including a brief introduction of the vision, mission and goals of the institute and the CDLS.
Trainors also initiated a workshop which altered the local issues and concerns of each participant's communities. This was followed by a lecture on the history of Centrist Democracy and its four pillars. The Political and Electoral Reform pillar was highlighted.
The seminars ended with an open forum and discussion. Participants have expressed that they are willing to organize similar activities and make alliance with existing CD groups.
Trainors of the said seminar were Jordan Antolin and Renato Tibon of Cagayan de Oro City.
