Centrist Democracy in Collaborative Governance
In pursuit of propagating the ideals of centrist participatory governance, the Centrist Democracy Political Institute (CDPI) trainors conducted its lecture series in different areas of Cebu city namely in Barangay Pooc in Talisay city, Municipality of Liloan, Barangay Biasong, Barangay Poblacion in Talisay city and Barangay Calawisan, Lapu-Lapu city last July 19, 25, 26 and August 2.
Beginning with lectures on the context of Philippine politics and party system, history of Centrist democracy, electoral and political reform, and the criteria of a real political party, the participants composing barangay leaders manifested interest upon hearing the new concepts introduced to them.
A workshop followed on “How Centrist democracy help in collaborative governance” that produced an interactive open forum and experiential sharing basing from the respective experiences of the participants.
After which were discussion of plans to initiate sectoral associations and identify leaders capable in expanding the Centrist leadership.
The facilitators of the said seminar were RejeneLakibul and Gilbert Emano V, CDPI trainors based in Cebu city.
CDPI is a non-government organization that conducts seminars on political technocracy to individuals and members of Centrist oriented groups nationwide.
