TRIVIA: Anthropomorphic Nouns

TRIVIA: Anthropomorphic Nouns Featured

Believing that the best education leads to the best understanding,
I thought you might find this interesting.
Anthropomorphic Nouns

I thought this might be boring, but stick with it. You'll love the ending.
We are all familiar with a
herd of cows
Herd of cows,

flock of chickens
A Flock of chickens,

school of fish
A School of fish

gaggle of geese
And a Gaggle of geese.
However, less widely known is:

pride of lions
A Pride of lions

raven
A Murder of crows

rooks and ravens
(as well as their cousins the rooks and ravens),

exaltation of doevs
An Exaltation of doves
And, presumably because they look so wise:

parliament of owls
A Parliament of owls

baboons
Now consider a group of Baboons.
Baboons are the loudest, most
dangerous,most
obnoxious, most viciously aggressive
and least
intelligent of all primates.
And what is the proper collective noun
for a group of baboons?
Believe it or not... A Congress!
(Note: I hadn't heard that before, so I looked it
up. It is correct).

congress1

A CONGRESS OF BABOONS!
That pretty much explains the things
that
come out !
You just can't make this stuff up.
