Davao City business leaders and some political parties gather in Davao City for a conference entitled, "Pursuing Federalism: A Shift from Unitary-Presidential to Federal-Parliamentary Government" organized by the Centrist Democracy Political Institute (CDPI) in collaboration with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Inc on the Proposed Revision of the 1987 Constitution by the 2005 Consultative Commission to support and promote the initiatives of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte's Administration.
Renowned speakers of the event were Dr. Jose Abueva, Chairman of then 2005 Constitutional Commission (ConCom); Ms Joji Ilagan-Bian, Member of 2005 ConCom, Atty. Raul Lambino, Acting Secretary General of LAKAS-CMD and Member of Philippine Constitution Association (PHILCONSA) and Lito Monico Lorenzana, Secretary General of the 2005 ConCom and President of the CDPI.
The said conference was held last June 25 at Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City. It is second of the five-series nationwide Federalism Conference.
